Q: I can't open StudioStation manual

 

A: StudioStation manual is written in PDF format. In order to view it you have to install the freeware Adobe Acrobat reader. A link to Adobe site can be found at our downloads page

 

 

A: StudioStation internal player is based on the Microsoft DirectX multimedia engine. If this component is not installed the player will fail playing media files. DirectX became an integral part of Windows OS since the release of Windows XP. Owners of earlier Windows versions can install it as an add-on. It is a free component available for download at Microsoft's web site. A link can be found at our downloads page

 

 

A: Currently, no special preparations made to support native languages other than English though if you are using Windows OS with multi lingual support it will be enabled automatically inside StudioStation. You will be able to use your native language in all application's lists and fields and in the invoice settings. However, application internal titles (list captions etc...) will be shown only in English.

 

 

A: Apologizes, but no. However, there are many products on the market allowing to run Windows only appications over Mac computers. Parallels is just one example.

 

 

A: StudioStation does not have a built in support for multi users. However, it can be achieved by using file sharing products. Network Magic is just one example. Please note, you'll have to acquire multiple licenses in order to use StudioStation in such configuration. Please contact us for more information.

 

 

A: Sending messages to a contact requires an active connection to the internet. This feature uses the predefined system default email program. You have to set such a program with at least one active account to allow StudioStation to send email messages successfully.

 

A: StudioStation allows exporting the internal lists content in TXT or CSV file formats. In addition, reports can be saved as RTF files.

A: In order to upgrade an old StudioFiles version, you have to select the existing StudioFiles folder as the target for the StudioFiles 3 installation. This selection should happen automatically by the installation setup. However, if this doesn't happen you should set this target folder manually. When you install StudioFiles 3 over an existing version it converts the old database files into a new format and importing all the stored data in it into the new database.

If you install StudioFiles 3 for evaluation purposes, it is best to select different target folder and keep the installed version and its database files as is.

 

 

A: Yes. You can customize Studio name, Studio details (address etc..), Recipient, Recipient details, and of course, invoice items/activities to be charged.
